Default Americas 17 Sailboat

I just purchased an Americas 17 sailboat, and was hoping that someone
may know some more about this boat. It appears to be similar to a
International 5.5 meter class boat. I know the rigging was done by
Dwyer, but when I contacted them they were unable to provide me with
any useful information. The boat was built in the mid 80's, fixed keel
with wings.

If anyone has any information that could help me in researchign these
boats it would be appreciated.

Sounds interesting. How big is it?
Is it like this?

What do you need to know? There are tens of thouseands of orphan boats
out there, built by small companies that went out of business long ago.
If you need new sails and rigging, the basic dimensions are all you need.

That's a cool little boat, but it appears to be about half the size of a
5.5 Meter class. It may be a one-of-a-kind, or it may be one of a very
small number built. With that keel, I'd guess it was designed & built
some time after 1983.
