Greetings,
My boat has twin, inboard Mercruiser's (350CID) with the Bravo-style raw water pump. The location of the pumps, along with their design, makes replacing the raw water impellers an absolute nightmare!! I have to remove the pumps completely from the engine, but just getting to the pumps themselves requires bending and twisting not meant for the human body!! My previous boat had a Volvo powerplant, with its convenient, crank mounted water pump. Being that most of the manufacturers use a Chevy block, can I replace the current Bravo pump with a crank mounted pump? Thanks! |
