You've never lived in PT. If you had, you wouldn't think it is spectacular.

Why's that?

It's pretty slow moving, with a strong boating contingent, beautiful
surroundings, an active art and music comunity, etc. Much of the
populace seems a bit more liberal than one might otherwise encounter up
on the peninsula.
It might be hard for a city guy like myself to downshift enough to be
happy there, but if I was ready to sit down until the finish line PT
would be a nice place to do the sitting, (IMO).
