That would be too bad.

But who do those layabout stadium workers think they are, anyway?
Demanding 2% annual wage increases? Of all the nerve.

(Want to keep the union out of the workplace? Foster a working
environment where the union would be unneccesary).

You have to be a bit empathetic with workers earning 9-10 USD an hour
and hoping to merely keep abreast of inflation. Quite a bit different
than the boat shows that unions screwed up on the east coast- there
were some shows at one time where as an exhibitor you were prohibited
from unpacking and setting up your own display.......(had to call in a
$100 minimum Teamster). Once you had your booth erected, you were
required to pay a member of the electrician's union a minimum amount
(probably $75-100) to "connect exhibit to stadium grid"........IOW,
plug in your extension cord.

The BC thing sounds like its the actual stadium folks- ushers, ticket
takers, janitors, etc.....asking for a 2% raise.

Remember who's site you were reading... they aren't telling the whole story.
And their salary average included PART TIME workers. Want to bet the
full-time semi-skilled aren't earning *significantly* more? And this is
socialist Canada, eh? No health care costs... government takes care of you.

Yep... our good old unions. Any wonder why our jobs are moving overseas?

But hey... an unskilled factory worker can afford private school for the
kids, 4WD SUV and minivan, boat, big house and TV, etc... all on barely
managing to graduate high school. What a deal.
