Default Unbeliveable boat pricing!

At the Sacramento Boat and sports show last friday. Where are these
manufacturers coming up with the pricing? Look at 19' Lund with a 225 Merc
Vornado ($16,900) and a small kicker (probably $2500). Price of the boat
was $52,500 + Tax and license. Lund is a nice boat, but not that nice.
This is approching the price of nice 22' sports fishers. Davis Cortez 22 is
about $60k. And Boulton boats had a 20' with Honda and no kicker for $34k.
And the Boulton is a lot better built boat. All welded, 0.190 thick bottom,
fit and finish much nicer. He is a very good Northwest river boat builder.

Never heard of Davis Cortez or Boulton. Heard of Lund. Alum outboard
boats are mostly lake and river boats around here. Dunno why, as alum is
a great boat material.

You're a ****ing liar, Harry.

And all this time I thought you knew everything. Do a google on Boulton and
Davis Boats of Morrow Bay. Much better than a Parker boat.

I did look up Boulton after you posted...looks like one of your
California river jetboats. Also looked up the Davis boats...lapstrake
alum hulls...interesting hulls, ugly as a dog topside, though.

Really, there are very few alum boats in that size range around there
here parts. You see the occasional alum yacht in Annapolis, or alum jon
boats or canoe and, of course, plenty of alum boats on fresh water. I
know it is a first rate material, but i have no idea what it never
caught on around here.

Wait...someone pointed out an alum hull sailboat to me last season orver
in St. Michaels, a big un, a 40 footer, But I could not tell it was
alum..it had a fancy paint job.

Can't google either I see. Try http://www.davisboats.com/davisboats.htm

And a 20' Boulton is a lot nicer than a 19' Lund. Better fit and finish and
thicker aluminum. Plus he also makes nicer big aluminum boats like parkers.

Must be the shipping from Minnesota. The 2025 ProVee with 250 Verado
and 4600 lb Shorlandr goes for 42k here in minnesota. The 1900
ProVee/Yamaha F200 and trailer is 36k.

ProVee is the top of Lund fishing boats with all the bells and whistles
for a walleye/multispecies boat.

Could have been ProVee with extra shipping, but I still could not $52k+!
