Default Small Suzuki conversion

Hi all

Anyone know if its possible/sensible to obtain the parts and convert a
newish DF4 to a DF6. Its only the power side I'm interested in, the
alternator and remote fuel facility isn't a problem.

Regards Ian

Ian, I am about to buy a DF4 and like you the only difference between the a DF4 and a DF6 is the max revolutions. So the only difference must be the size of the carborator port, I would think. However, a suzuki dealer I spoke with doesn't think you would notice that much difference in the power of the engine for 760 rpm. He thought the DF4 probably puts out closer to 5 HP and the DF6 maybe something less than 6. So if your pushing an inflatable dingy the actual performance maybe quite close. But I would be interested in knowing if you found out anything specific about converting a DF4 to a DF6. Thanks, Gary
