Subject: Restricted Raw Water Cooling Flow?????
From: (Seadweller) Before I break out the wrenches, are the transmission coolers copper based? Many are. Is it more likely that the restriction would be at the riser, or at the transmission cooler? Based on the age of the boat, I'd say riser. Am I missing another area of concern? Collapsed hose/s perhaps. Get a laser guided temp. reading gun. With that you should be able to pin point the area of restiction. Capt. Bill |
