I've found that travel abroad has given me an appreciation for other
peoples and their cultures

...and coverted you to a Socialist.

I've been to very few countries with "socialist" leanings.

and more insight into the realities of the world. These realities often
are very different from what our government wants us to believe. As an
example, it wasn't until I was working in Vietnam that I fully realized
what a colossal fraud our government was perpetrating on us.

But that's because you're a Socialist...and the idea of collective
ownership that Communism was promoting was very near to your favored
model of government.

When I was in Vietnam, it was being run by a right-wing dictatorship
propped by by the US government.

But you learn a lot of good, too. I spent some time in Egypt with
villagers who had nothing, and who were learning to build their own small
homes, start their own small businesses, and improve their community's
sanitary coditions.

Hehehe. And decades later, they're *still* learning (unsuccessfully)
about improving sanitary conditions.

These are financially poor people, but they learned quite a bit and
transformed their living conditions from intolerable to nearly decent, no
thanks to assholes like you.

All these people wanted was a slightly

better life for themselves and their children. I found similar
aspirations among the folks I met in El Salvador and Bangladesh.

Statistically, those folks, are probably dead by now...thanks in no part
to their countries' backwards-assed cultures, leading to poor living
conditions, and terrible health care.

You are a xenophobic asshole.

In case you haven't noticed, you're about the biggest prick on this
newsgroup...but I have thus far refrained from name-calling, because it is
usually the final tactic employed by the loser of an argument.

NYOB, without you I'd almost be without Harry. But I guess I'll have
to take some bad with the good.

Harry's fixation on assholes has definitely returned. He's even
combining his favorite topic with totally inappropriate adjectives.
What a winning combination.

The scary part is that he's a health professional. You might expect
his
babblings from the boys down at the Road House or the nearest biker
bar....but from someone in his position...??

grin I don't even need to use my best lures to catch the
unsophisticated bait on this newsgroup.

Yeah, right...you make some outrageous statement, get nailed on it, and
then claim you were only trolling.

You really think that I want to either assimilate or annihilate the rest
of the World? No! I'm content limiting that policy to liberals within
the confines of this country.

Yeah, I do. You've said it often enough.

I've also said quite often that you're probably a decent guy in real
life. However, just because I said it on a newsgroup, doesn't mean it's
true

Are you claiming you don't say what you mean and don't mean what you say?

Not on the internet. I use it as my own great experiment in human
psychology...or as you say "for ****s and giggles".

This has gotten so good I've unkillfiled Harry just to watch!

We're always interfering there, and those countries are not
aggressors towards us.

Which means that our interference is working.

No, it doesn't. All that is happening is that more and more of the
world has lost respect for us and, in many cases, will only smile the
next time we're hit by terrorists.

You mean they'll "find it fun watching our country implode"? Perhaps
you can join them for a post-collapse party.

An implosion is an inwards burst, as it were. The kinds of terrorists
we're talking about here would create a burst from the outside, as it
were, and would make us explode.

The net result is the same, no?

No.

We're really not talking about the same thing here. By implosion, I mean
collapse from within...there's no C4 necessary.

Yes, but the collapse would delight you and rest of the World.

There you go again, being a bitter, short minded sort. Do tell, why are

substance, or debate with anyone?

Did he call you a name? I didn't see it. Would calling someone
'bitter' and 'short minded' qualify as 'name-calling'?

Shhhh!!!!! Don't tell him that......if he figures that out, he might have
to relinquish his title of "King of the NG idiots"

Have you taken the quiz yet?

Sorry, you are so bitter that you can't possibly interject anything in
this newsgroup of any substance, just name calling. Save it for you
wife that ran off.

basskisser December 9th 04 05:24 PM

I don't take childish, boorish quizzes. Did YOU take it? Do you get all
of your insight from such places?
And no, telling someone he is bitter isn't name calling. If I'd have
called him Bitter Fritz, or some such, then it WOULD be. But, alas, as
usual, you are wrong.
Same with "short minded."

So, if Harry says, "Herring is an asshole," then he isn't
name-calling. But if he says, "That asshole Herring..." then he *is*
name-calling?

I'm not particularly fond of Disney, but my kids sure love it. They like
McDonald's too...and I like how McDonald's stock has performed for my
portfolio over the last year and a half.
