Default Argenta boat company, Wilmington, CA?

Anybody know anything about Argenta?

(Writing an item about a 64-footer they built in 1962, and I don't know squat
about the company.)

The present owner, as you may know, is:

BRIAN M WILSON (TRUSTEE)
6525 NO 53RD ST
TACOMA, WA 98407

I began my automotive career working for Brian, eventually working up to
managing partner in one of his enterprises. When he bought this boat, in the
early or mid 80's, he owned the largest sales volume Dodge dealership in 5
states, (rumored to be among the most profitable in the US). Hence the name.

I doubt that Cristaldi was a previous owner of this boat, due to the length of
time that the current owner hs owned it and the unique reason for the name.

I haven't spoken to Brian for a few years, so I don't know why there'd be
another Argenta on the E Coast christened Dodge Buoy II. "Twill remain a
mystery. We run an article on a neat old boat every month, and I rely on my
broker friends to turn me on to interesting vessels. By happenstance, I asked
one of the brokers in Tacoma for a recommendation, and the "small world" factor
kicked in. :-)

But thanks for looking. Sort of hoping Calif Bill or a lurker from down that
way might know something about the co. The boat is
hell for stout. Was probably a very small firm doing custom builds.
