Here is how I set up my message rules in MS Outlook Express. This was pretty
much
eliminated all the offending posters who habitually use this site for non
boating issues.
Here is what to do:

snip
And add the following people
basskisser, Harry Krause, christopher robin, Jim, Parallax, John H, NOYB,
Sir Spamalot, RGrew176, Henry Blackmore, bb, tuuk, Doug Kanter,

MadDogDave,
LaBomba182, jaxashby, ccred68046, Don White, Jeff Rigby, Jeff Smith,
K.Smith, John Smith, JohnH, Gould0738

I can't respect a list that doesn't have Bert Robbins name on it.

Ron White December 2nd 04 12:10 AM

I received this email in response to my original post about blocking those
people who post about things other than boats.

I am not an OT poster. Unless you can show me a reason for adding my name
to OT posters I would appreciate it if you would post the retraction."

my apologies to ccred68046

It's hard to respect a darn thing from anybody whose only contribution *to* the
group is a list of subjects or people he deems unworthy.

Pretty soon this group of people who only post, "This is the list of people I
think are schidt heads" will only see one anothers' posts here.

I'd think it would be simpler for him to quietly filter & ignore the OT
activities. With the boats covered for winter, we deserve a little fun.

If that's the case then you owe me one too.

I don't believe (contrary to what Sterling thinks) I've ever started an OT
thread.

Replied to yes, started no.

Oh, wait you can't see this. ;-)

=================================

Speak for yourself Don, the boating season here in SWFL is just
getting into high gear with near perfect weather every day. My kids
flew in from NY last week for the holidays and we enjoyed several nice
excursions to the near by tropical beaches. Water temperature in the
Gulf of Mexico has dropped quite a bit however. It is now down to 73
degrees. That may sound warm to a Canadian but it's downright chilly
compared to mid-summer 90 degrees.

Without benefit of extensive Googleology, I'd have to say that sounds
about right. I was surprised to see your name on the list.

Oh, you make me sick!

I bought my second sailboat in Clearwater in march 86 or so, and
went wading in Miami a few days before. The water was so warm! The
hookers and pimps in their fur coats at the motel breakfast bar
where we had parked our camper van thought my wife and I were
scandalously underdressed in our t shirts, shorts and flip flops.
They all seemed to know that we were Maple Slurpers. Perhaps it was
our license plates?

I am now so depressed that I must go see if the snow has burst the
tarp on my boat in the back yard, yet...

Maybe I'll put on my parka, go sweep it off and make a log entry. *SOB!*

How much would a little shack in Florida cost to buy? Say, just a
little bigger than an ice fishing hut?

Great job Sherlock.
I didnt claim to be a virgin.

No you didn't. You simply stated "I don't post off topic". My point is that
"don't" is rather absolute. You could accurately state, "I post on topic far
more often than off." You do a better job of following the rules than most, as
I acknowledged.
