How do golf cart batteries work for use as trolling motor batteries? I

There are lots of cruisers who use golf cart batteries for their house

bank.
They are designed specifically for the constant discharge-recharge life
cycle, and do get bounced around a bit in normal usage. An added

advantage
is the lighter unit weight - a plus for some of us as we get ... ahem ...
more senior.

Plus, a pair of 2400, 6 volt batteries in series have more amp hour capacity
than a single 8D 12 volt battery.
