I am replacing my old 1972 Model 2 Mercruiser outdrive with a new
alpha drive in conjunction with a repower. The old drive is huge and it looks like the existing transom hole will be too large. Question? Does Merc have a plate to cover the hole or will it have to be re glassed from the inside. If reglassed am I looking at a lot of $$$$. Is it a big job? Someone said I should consider a Volvo drive as they have a plate. Comments please. Thanks |
