However, the *current* CBS/NY Times poll has him at a 58% favorability rating. Does being part of the majority make you feel better about being a fascist, or does being part of the majority give you some sort of security in your bigotry and ignorance? If you really believe the way you do, why do you so often need to post polls to your position? Are you ashamed to speak without a mob at your back? Joining the mob does not make your position any less shameful. It is still anti-American by any measure. All your polls show is that the majority have little shame or knowledge of history. Rick |

You seem to rationalize a lot. Read your own post and figure it out.

LOL If you really believe the way you do, why do you so often need to post polls to your position? Just trying to issue a reality check to those few remaining liberals who think that their views are "mainstream". Are you ashamed to speak without a mob at your back? Actually, polls show how little effect your, and your ilk's, griping has had on public opinion. |

For most of world history, the views of those who opposed tyranny and evil were never "mainstream." We who believe Bush and his policies are fundamentally in opposition to traditional American standards of social and political behavior are unfortunately not in the majority. Those who oppose most dictators are rarely in the majority. If we were our laws and freedoms would not be under assault by the political extremists in power today. Actually, polls show how little effect your, and your ilk's, griping has had on public opinion. Public opinion is not a measure of right or wrong. History is rife with examples of public opinion in favor of what we now label as crimes against humanity, war crimes, and hideously perverted social experiments gone horribly wrong. The sooner you and your goose-stepping herdmates join your progenitors in history's trash bin the better the world will be. Rick |

Those who oppose most dictators are rarely in the majority. Your self-righteousness is sickening. You're in the minority not because you're right...but because you're wrong. The left's obsession with hating Bush has destroyed its ability to apply logic and reason to real world decisions. Today's liberal knows how to attack other people's policies, but put forth zero ideas themselves. Would you like an example? Find one *solution* to today's problems in any of *your* posts. You throw around words like "tyranny" and "evil", and phrases like "fundamentally in opposition to traditional American standards of social and political behavior", yet you've never offered your own opinion on how to deal with this nation's threats. War was declared not on this nation, but on our culture and way of life. There is a movement in the fundamentalist Islamic world to rid the world of non-believers. We chose to fight back this time. |

Speaking of laws, the Bush-shippers were handled a triple whammy this week: 1. Ashcroft broke the law in his losing Senate campaign against a dead man. 2. The prisoners in Cuba must be given access to lawyers. 3. The U.S. citizen being held as a terrorist must be given his Constitutional rights. The Bush-shippers, of course, think the Constitution is only there to protect corporate interests. -- Email sent to is never read. |

I sure feel safer knowing that liberal attornies were able to get those two cases decided in their favor...*for now*. The US Supreme Court hasn't ruled on either, however. The second judgement came out of a three-judge panel from the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals...and the White House will seek an immediate stay...and ask the full 2nd Circuit Court to hear the case. Or, they could make an immediate appeal to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has already agreed to hear the Guantanamo Bay issue. |

The legal system in this country is not for the weakhearted, tooth-boy.
Either the laws apply to everyone, or they apply to nobody. Sometimes you have to have some balls and let the bad guys go through the system just like everyone else. It may take longer than you'd like to bring them to justice, but they'll get there eventually. Remember: It was tax evasion that nailed Al Capone. |

Capone would have gotten acquitted in 2 minutes under today's liberal judges. |
