Another Bush administration, has the potential to destroy the Republican Party, a la Nixon's Watergate. It took Ronald Reagan to re-vitalize the Republicans, and I don't see any Reagans in the immediate future, Arnold included. Bush votes with his heart and his convictions, but I think he is too easily
swayed by those around him, and does not have the intellect to understand the nuances involved. Kerry might be intelligent, but he is a whore would sell his own mother if it would get a vote. The fact that Kerry came home and rallied against the war in VN does not bother me, no one in their right mind thought that we were going to do anything, but find a face saving way out of it. It was obvious that NVN was going to overrun SVN from about 1970 on. "JohnH" wrote in message ... The other has to do with Senator Kerry himself. The third deals with both of them and their personal moral "convictions". As to the President and his cohorts - I'm totally disgusted. I believe their moral convictions changed depending upon what will either make them money or get them votes. Kerry jumped on Edwards bandwagon because he hoped it would get him a few swing states. They really don't have any personal moral convictions, which is what I meant by "Kerry would sell his mother if he would help him". |
I agree with your dad, but...
I guess I'd rather have the trouble I know than risk the trouble I don't. When you're sick with a terminal cancer, that "unknown" drug just may do wonders. Unlikely that it would make things worse. :-) |
Gould,
Your father is correct, both candidates suck. Bush sucks, but you forgot that Kerry sucks just as bad. Reportedly seen on a bumper sticker: Kerry, '04 He sucks less. :-) |

It really is bad having such two sad sacks to vote for, and I am concerned that the extremes of either party are going to be our downfall. Until the moderates get involved in the primaries and helping by volunteering extremely early in the primaries, we will continue to get the **** we have had for the last two elections. Frick or Frack which one to vote for. I wouldn't limit that comment to the last two elections. Our candidates don't seem to be selected, they seem to be appointed. In a country of 250 million, is this the best we can do? But then, in a democracy, we get the government we deserve. |
