Hmmm, seems like the applications would be limited.


For a trawler type boat that is going to move along hull speed I would think
you would be far better off to have a single conventional engine and use
bow/stern thrusters to get the manueverability. I bet it would be cheaper
and far more efficient.

For many express style cruisers you need dual engines to get enough
horsepower to get the boats up on plane. I can't see this being used in a
planing hull

Maybe I am missing something, but the disadvantages are many, and I really
don't see the advantage.
