How quickly the tide has turned. The gloves are off...and Cheney is winning
this one. :-) Posted 23 minutes into the debate? You rather obviously watched only long enough to justify your preconceived fantasy outcome. |

You rather obviously watched only long enough to justify your preconceived fantasy outcome. I think Cheney did a fine job of appealing to the GOP base, that Edwards did what he was supposed to do (push Kerry's positions, which include reiterating Bush's failures), and that in the end, Edwards did more to sway independents than Cheney. -- We today have a president of the United States who looks like he is the son of Howdy Doody or Alfred E. Newman, who isn't smarter than either of them, who is arrogant about his ignorance, who is reckless and incompetent, and whose backers are turning the United States into a pariah. What, me worry? |

Yeah- did you see Edwards squirm when Cheney pointed out his pathetic
Senate attendance record, and and said as VP he was in the Senate most every Tuesday for four years, and the debate stage was the first time he had ever met Edwards in person-What a laugh ![]() JR NOYB wrote: How quickly the tide has turned. I would agree. The sitting VP is more presidential than the sitting POTUS. I disagree vehemently with Cheney, but he's no slouch in a debate. |

I doubt the VP seeks out the company of freshman senator, and access to the VP is probably pretty controlled. |

![]() "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Sounded to me as if Cheney forgot his president's name...how many times did Cheney actually say the name Bush or phrase President Bush. Harry, I agree usually with your politics and like the wit and knowledge with which you sometimes/often write your posts here. But it's sad that you (probably) won't admit that Cheney did a much better job tonight than Edwards did. It undermines your intellectual-honesty/credibility. |

"Harry Krause" wrote in message ... He obfuscated the entire discussion about the Bush Administation's lies and mistakes. Pretty good, eh? ;-) That's almost an admission on your part! I'm certainly glad that at least some of the right realizes that BushCo is nothing short of a bunch of liars. |

Nobby's been pretty straight about admitting his "side" lies through its teeth to make its agenda palatable. -- We today have a president of the United States who looks like he is the son of Howdy Doody or Alfred E.
