Example: several of the Conservatrashers start posts each year that include my name in the subject line. Some of these rack up 80 or 100 follow-ups, even if I don't comment at all. Or they'll pick up a word within a message...and if your name is in that message...there you go. I feel your pain. A lot of this stuff should be takes over to rec.fishing, as the participants are just baiting each other to see who bites, I can just visualize some of these guys sitting back saying "I got ya, another one bites the hook". For better or worse it's a community and you just can't shut some people up. I used to use my blocker a lot more in the past, but you never know when a topic turns into something interesting. don't know about junnie's politics (I don't read politcal posts), but do feel that calling junnie a "lying idiot" is indeed ridiculous. junnie is a idiot not intelligent enough to even know what a lie is. netsuck, of course, doesn't qualify as anything. |
