I have a 250 foot rode. 30 feet chain and 220 feet 1/2

1/2 inch 3 strand is amazingly strong as long as it is protected from
chafe. That's one of the really nice things about chain - chafe is
pretty much of a non-issue, and as a bonus, no bozo is likely to cut
your rode with his prop - not without a commotion anyway. I once had
a nylon rode cut with a prop so quickly and cleanly it was almost
surgical.

Oops, I think I just strained my catenary...

Not to worry... Jax attired in Speedos, will be first in line to kiss

Disgusting thought Gene, go and sin no more.
