Gould,
When I looked at the people at each convention, it was obvious that there was a big difference in the crowd. The Republicans looked professional. The democrats looked like the average Joe 6-Pack, many looked like they didn't graduate from high school. When they played the music between speakers, the Republicans looked stiff and awkward trying to dance, the democrats were having a ball, dancing and enjoying themselves. If I wanted to go out and party, I would definitely want to go out with the democratic crowd. If I needed some professional services, I would want the Republican crowd. It is obvious that the democrats go out of their way to appeal to stupid people. "Gould 0738" wrote in message ... Gould, Don't you hate it when a democrat looks so stupid. ; ) It looks like stupid people are involved with both parties. True enough. Which party goes out of its way to appeal to stupid people? |

It is obvious that the democrats go out of their way to appeal to stupid
people. Whether or not somebody can dance, (and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here that you aren't making an underhanded comment about ther greater ethnic diversity at one of the conventions), doesn't indicate squat about who the party is trying to appeal to. The people at the convention are already in the fold. I'm talking about trolling for votes. Take, for example, the almost worn out Republican attack on Kerry, "He voted againts the F-14, he voted against the B-1, he voted against the missle defense system, he voted against body armor for the troops, he voted against every major weapon system used in the war on terror......." Who is that directed at? Obviously it has to be the people who are too fricking stupid or intellectually lazy to check the facts and discover the charges to be major distortions, flirting with status of outright lies. If your people are so bright, then shame on them twice. They should be able to campaign based on reality, not have to stoop to lies, inuendo, and distortion. |

Gould, The last thing on my mind was the ethnic diveristy. The democrats at the convention looked like a fun crowd, who was really enjoying their big show, but they looked like the average uneducated masses. The advertisements and spin suring the campaign is designed to get votes from independents and moderates in either party. If Kerry was trying to appeal to the intellect of the voters, he would never have made his 4 months in VN a center piece of his campaign or his convention. He would have focused on his track record in the senate. You have become so blinded by your passion for anyone but Bush, that you fail to see the lies, inuendo and distortion of the Kerry Campaign. |

This is Bush-Chenian logic at it's finest...

When they played the music between speakers, the Republicans looked stiff and awkward trying to dance, the democrats were having a ball, dancing and enjoying themselves. It may be that the choice in music has something to do with that. If I wanted to go out and party, I would definitely want to go out with the democratic crowd. If I needed some professional services, I would want the Republican crowd. So, based on vague "looks" and choice of music/dancing ability, you feel you "want" Republicans for "professional services." Like what, for example? It is obvious that the democrats go out of their way to appeal to stupid people. It is obvious that you cannot write a proper & complete sentence in the English language. Did you graduate from high school? Did you graduate from school high? To claim that your prejudices in "looks" and type of attire, and your taste in music, justify claiming that 'democrats go out of their way to appeal to stupid people' is really funny. You're another undercover communist operative like Nobby, aren't you? DSK |

DSK,
I thought it was obvious, that I was using Gould's tactics of making a statement and then running with it as if it was fact. It is consistently shown that Republicans have a higher education level than Democrats, since Doug and Gould did not want to accept these survey's, I used the same type of "gut feel" logic that Gould and Doug were using. Obviously, it was only obvious to me. "DSK" wrote in message .. . This is Bush-Chenian logic at it's finest... Considering that most of the right wingers making public statements on the issue consider that college campusses are the last bastion of communism, I fail to see much support to your claim. According to the ANES survey conducted by the University of Michigan. The
ANES is not interested in either political party, they are just trying to track long term political trends. I am using this source just because they have conducted extensive surveys to try to understand US politics. http://www.umich.edu/~nes/overview/overview.htm About 36% of Republicans graduated from college while about 28% and 23% of Independents and Democrats, respectively, graduated from college. About 59% of Republicans made over $35,000 a year while only 50% and 35% of Independents and Democrats, respectively, made over $35,000 a year. Again, the ANES is not interested in either political party, they are just trying to track long term political trends. From the Diane Divers Blair Center for the Study of Southern Politics and Society, which does not support either party and is only interested in studying Southern Politics. http://plsc.uark.edu/arkpoll/fall99/party/PAGE4.HTM "Adherents to the two parties in Arkansas had different levels of education, with the Republicans being more educated. Roughly, 23% of the Democrats and 21% of Independents possessed a college degree; 39% of Republicans had graduated from college." "The state's Republicans are also wealthier than their Democratic and Independent counterparts. Almost half (47%) of the Republicans surveyed stated they had a household income of over $35,000, while 37% of Independents and just under a third (31%) of the Democrats had incomes over $35,000." These two college studies do not endorse either party, but are only interested in tracking the demographics as it relates to US voters. "DSK" wrote in message . .. You equate money with intelligence. I've met a lot of "rich" people, of both parties, that are quite stupid. I've met a lot of "poor" people that are quite smart. Look at Bush, I believe he's pretty rich and then on the other hand he's also pretty stupid. Then there's the "old" money thing. If your parents are rich, your way can be pretty well paved, a fast track to wealth through schooling and contacts that on your own might never have happened, you were just lucky and happened to pop out of the right womb. Just like Bush. On his own he's incompetent, his dad's money and friends got him out of the numerous holes he's dug for himself. Wealth can also be accumulated through a lack of ethics, in the business world the final litmus test seems to be legality, not morality. Rich folks, and according to you more Republicans than others, seem to me to lean towards the IGMFY state of mind, I got mine, **** you. |

I saw a very good $3 bill last week with a photo of Dickless Cheney on the front and that expression on the back. Seems to fit perfectly. -- We today have a president of the United States who looks like he is the son of Howdy Doody or Alfred E. Newman, who isn't smarter than either of them, who is arrogant about his ignorance, who is reckless and incompetent, and whose backers are turning the United States into a pariah. What, me worry? |
