yup, the laws of physics don't apply. "36 foot" waves they had to be.

Well JaxAss, Hurricane Camille had waves big enough to tear the fronts out
of 150 year old antebellum mansions a couple hundred feet from the highway
and another 200' of beach in normal times. Devasted Biloxi. I went through
Betsy in 1965, washed most of the buildings off islands around New Orleans.
Kiss your JackAss goodby in those conditions.

Well Jaxass, I see they are 36' at 200 miles from Panama City, FL. How far
off shore is the buoy? And you stated that there could not be 36' waves 200
miles or more from the panhandle.

pardon me for not recalling **precisely** the minimum water depth to support 36
waves but I seem to recall it is about 150 feet.

Are you saying, billie, that the Fla panhandle is in 150 feet of water?

yup, that is what you are saying.

Therefore, tsunamis are a figment of the imagination. The water is a couple of
inches deep at the edge of the beach. No waves should ever come ashore at all.

Dang, tell the Quicksilver people that Mavericks can never get 60' swells.
The reef is only 45' deep.

At this point, once again, the Emperor has been shown not to have any clothing.

And it's not a pretty sight.

That's true! I just printed the graph for that exact buoy.
