yes, of course. 260 nm south of Panama city is right smack dab centered in
the panhandle.

but wait a minute! I thought "close" only counted in horseshoes and H-bombs.

36.1 feet at 7:50PM, looks like wave height is peaking out at the
weather buoy(260 nm South of Panama City).

OK how about 64 miles.

This is 64 nm South of Dauphin Island, AL
Which is less than a 100 miles.
