Woodstock, CT ----------- If you know what you are doing with it, you can use very very very fine grit sandpaper to dress gelcoat. I found something like a liquid jewelers rouge by 3M that works like a champ. It's not as harsh as a rubbing compound and you tend to use a lot of it, but talk about touching up gellcoat - great job. Or, with the right kind of sandpaper and belt sander, sharpen a knife, though I prefer ceramic sharpening sticks. I'm a wet stone and barber's strap kind of guy when I sharpen my knifes. And of course, this is evidenced by the number of times my wife has taken me to the ER for deep cuts from overly sharpened knifes. Take care. Tom "The beatings will stop when morale improves." E.
