LIES I SAW IN MOORES 9/11
After seeing the movie 9/11, I saw some very obvious lies on moores part.
The part is surely trick photography where bush sits in a class of kids with a deer in the headlights look on his face for seven minutes after hearing the country is being attacked. No world leader, in this nuclear age would ever do anything that stupid. Is moore seriously trying to make us believe that with jet pilots working like a nascar pit crew to practice getting airborne quickly, the president would be such an idiot to do nothing while planes were on thier way to the pentagon? Other than this everything else seemed believable in the movie. -- -- Dixon |

He did not have all the facts and by the time he did, it was all over. Read the 911 report. It's available as a free PDF download. He did not have all the facts and by the time he did, it was all over. I heard it said if we lived three hundred years ago and the president heard there were ships just leaving Europe to attack us, then it probably would be an acceptable reaction. Realisticly, with nothing like this happening to us in so long, I suppose it is a semi-justified reaction. I'm sure that anyone in charge now would react instantly, but hindsight is 20/20. dixon Read the 911 report. It's available as a free PDF download. Sarasota principal defends Bush from "Fahrenheit 9/11" portrayal
By Associated Press June 24, 2004 SARASOTA - Michael Moore's film "Fahrenheit 9/11" criticizes President Bush for listening to Sarasota second-graders read a story for nearly seven minutes after learning the nation was under attack on Sept. 11, 2001. But Gwendolyn Tose'-Rigell, the principal at Emma E. Booker Elementary School, says Bush handled himself properly. "I don't think anyone could have handled it better," Tose'-Rigell told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in a story published Wednesday. "What would it have served if he had jumped out of his chair and ran out of the room?" |

Bush should have sat not for seven minutes, but to the end of his term reading the goat book. I wish he would have waited the full seven minutes before he attacked a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. Dixon |

Yes, I feel she's more qualified than you, or I, or Michael Moore to comment on how Bush handled himself that morning...because she was there. BTW--She's a registered Democrat who voted for Gore in 2000. |

Well, I suppose it was better when Kerry said he "couldn't think" for 45 minutes. Of course, that might be an improvement. Bush was POTUS at the time. Ergo, what Bush thought, said, and did during that time period was far more important than anything anyone else might have thought, said, or did. Bush is a simpie. Even his staff admits he is a reluctant thinker and discusser, and depends upon his "guts" rather than any sort of knowledge about any important issue. Unfortunately for us, Bush's guts are full of nothing but crap. -- "There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you.
