Without providing the context, that quote makes no sense at all. "Jim" wrote in message nk.net... I thought that was what people should do when you're in office, and you help a lot of rich people." -Ben Barnes, a former lieutenant governor of Texas, Really, it doesn't make any sense to you? Jeez, why am I not surpised..... |

Jeez, why am I not surpised..... Of course *you* would understand it. Fragmented and grammatically-challenged sentence structure seem to be your forte. Now, would you like to explain what Barnes was referring to with the word "that", when he said "...*that* was what people should do..."? |

He helped rich people avoid service in Viet Nam. I won't mention any
specific people he helped, just that he's ashamed that he helped rich, powerful families avoid service. NOYB wrote: "basskisser" wrote in message om... "NOYB" wrote in message link.net... Asking for forgiveness and repenting after the fact is good but a ture man of integrity would not have put himself into the situation where he would regret his actions. |

Your original quote made no mention of Vietnam. Man, your blinders must be tight. Do you need every little freaking nuance explained to you? What to **** do you THINK he was talking about, given the context? |
