Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), also a member of the committee, said,
"The
fact
of the matter is, even though he claims to have gained a lot of that
expertise by serving on the senate intelligence committee, during his
eight
years of service on the intelligence committee there were forty-nine
public
hearings held by the intelligence committee, and John Kerry was absent
from
thirty-eight of those forty-nine hearings

Yeah, but as usual, the right wing spin doctors are at work, making it
sound as if Kerry simply decided not to be involved. Nothing is
further from the truth. Why must you righties lie ALL of time? Meeting
minutes are available to the congressmen, if they so choose. In those
meeting minutes, which Kerry has explained because of the lying right
wing, you'd see that in almost all of those thirty eight times, he WAS
there, but was in private session. You righties spin well, I must say,
because most don't know or realize that a lot of the time in committee
meetings is spent in private sessions, along with other members.

Seems like Kerry could clear up a lot of things if he opened up his
military
records and attendance record for the closed Intelligence Committee
meetings
he *allegedly* attended.

And as was previously requested, perhaps you can show where you got your
information from.

It's common ****ing knowledge, for god's sake! Did you not KNOW that
there are many, many private session meetings for congressional
committees?

Common knowledge? Then you can provide a link....correct?

There's no reason to "cooperate" with right-wing trash, no matter where
it is found. Right-wing trash is not interested in truth.

Especially when you cannot support your allegations. Do you have a link to
this *common knowledge* Harry?

It's common knowledge, bozo, that most of the real business of
Congressional ocmmittees and subcommittees is held in closed session. It
isn't our fault that you don't know this, and prefer to believe whatever
simple-minded right-wing palaver you've been eating the last few years.

I guess you do need a reading comprehension class Krause. I never said
anything to the contrary. I asked where Bass got his information that Kerry
was in pirvate session when he should have been at the Intelligence
Committee meetings.

So do you have a link Harry?

Sure, Jim-Dennis...all of us solid citizen Democrats get a weekly
electronic newsletter telling us about attendance at closed sessions of
Congressional committes, and also complete transcripts, too.

If you weren't such a security risk...

Oh...as far as where a particular Senator or Rep "should" be...that's a
bunch of happy horse****. You haven't a clue as to how Congress actually
works. They all have multiple committee and subcommittee assignments,
and they flip in and out of hearings all day long. And sometimes the
hearings are held at locations outside of Washington, D.C. That's one of
the reasons why there are staff attending the sessions, and why written
records are kept.

You seem quite the simpleton, Jim-Dennis. What was it you used to do for
a living?
