Default Surf's up!

Hurricane Alex passed off our shores today and we were treated to some nice
waves at a favorite local surfing beach. I went there at noon to watch for
a bit. Some of the kids were quite good riding waves up to 8 feet high. The
lifeguards were out fooling around on their rescue boards but kept wiping
out. Did I go in?...not likely! The posted water temperature was 8 C.
that's about 46 F for the metric challanged.
(All surfers & lifeguards wore wetsuits)
