TurboLube Oil Bath Hubs
 

Does anyone here use oil bath hubs? If I replace my trailer bearings and
Fulton Bearing Buddies with them will that be the end of worrying about
trailer bearings?
How do you make the changeover? Just remove all the old bearings, wash
everything down with mineral spirits and install the oil bath hubs?
I hate servicing the wheel bearings of my Escort trailer (19 Bayliner
bowrider) because I don't really know what I'm doing, and I don't like doing
jobs like that anymore. In the past, I've forced a rear seal to leak by
putting in too much grease, and I don't like the fact that my bearings could
fail when I least want them too: I can't imagine changing bearings in the
curb lane of a busy road.

The idea seems interesting, but I'd be wary of having my hubs and
bearings "protected" by a plastic cover. There are too many things one
might bang into in a busy yard, or at a crowded ramp, and some of these
might crack a plastic cover.

Have you tried Posi-Lube hubs?

No, I haven't tried anything other than what came on the Escort trailer:
bearings with Fulton Bearing Protectors. My trailers in the (salt)water at
least twice a week - the ramps around here all require I back in until only
about the top 3" of my fenders are above the water surface.
I had one bearing seize after about three years - fortunately I was only a
couple of blocks away from the storage lot when it failed.
I had the bearings of both axels serviced this spring (they replaced one
that was showing wear) and charged me about $90.
I really don't want to spend my time packing wheel bearings, and I don't
want to spend $90 if I don't have to. But, with the set up I've got it seems
that's the only options.
That's why I was asking about TurboLube Oil hubs. Are PosiLubes the same,
except they use grease instead of oil?
SuperLube hubs look like another option.
Or, I could change to Spindle Lube Spindles.
I was hoping someone would have some experience with either...

TurboLube Oil Bath Hubs
 

I have had good service with the spindle lube bearing. However , I do put
some new grease in about ever other trip. I think this helps to flush new
grease thru. The oil hubs sound like a good idea but haven't tryed them.
