Default Heart Transplant...

After screwing around forever with the insurance co (getting zilch, but didn't
expect anything either), and receiving an unexpected windfall, (happy
circumstances, and thanks!), we have decided to go with the new Perkins Sabre
135 NA.

The new engine is not a counter-rotator, and I didn't want the boat to back to
port.
(Excellent visibility on the starboard side from the wheel, lousy visibility to
port).
We're going to achieve the counter-rotate in the gear box.

Everything brand new, including the fuel system, (good point made by K. Smith),
made more sense in the end than saving a few grand and rebuilding the original.

We're also installing a water-lift muffler. Didn't really have a muffler
before, except for the muffling effect provided by 15 feet of 4" exhaust hose
with water running along the bottom.

I keep telling myself I won't miss that other 30HP. The proof will be in the
pudding.
And just think, I'll get to make a two-day run back to Seattle during some of
the worst weather of the year! :-)
