You better read up on the justified use of force again before you walk out the door with your gun. There are cops going to jail for shooting people trying to protect property. The cops have the same obligation to demonstrate an imminent fear for their life as you do. In fact, in DC, the cops have about the same "stand your ground" protection as we do as civilians in Florida. You don't have to retreat but you can't shoot until you are ready to demonstrate that imminent fear. Civilians there have the obligation of retreat. |
