Even deadbeat Harry can probably afford it - they are under $600.00.

What a wonderful firearm to use inside the house for home
protection...heavy, loud, complicated, not so easy to aim properly
indoors. Ayuup.

Aim properly? Just point it and pull the trigger, dumbass.

Exactly.* Shotguns don't require perfect aim and they don't kill people
in the other room with the correct ammo.* It's also easier to use than
my Blasers.

They do require aiming. Depending on the choke, in 12’ you may only have a
12” pattern.

Typically, one uses a Mossberg or Remington pump action for home defense
because they are more more reliable, simpler, and easier to handle.

Most people would shoot what they got. Mossberg is a cheapest decent
priced one, so very common. Most people think they are going to,clear a
room with a shotgun blast. Too many bad westerns and shootemups. My Rem
1100 full choke at 20 yards has about a 36” pattern. At 10’, about a 6”
pattern. But the fear induced from he bad shootemups applies to bad guys
also. So rack the shotgun and they most likely give up.

Snerk!
That Ditzy Dan, alias Jorge, sure is a sucker for a salesman pitch.

At less than 19”, is pretty compact. Who gives a **** it is loud, when
used in self defense?

Huh? I can't hear you. Somebody answer the damned phone.

A 12 ga in the house is awesome, even with ear valves and muffs.
(I had a range)

Some of these newer AR-15 style semi-auto shotguns have feeding issues
and jam. If you are going to use a shotgun for home defense, there are
far better, more reliable choices. I used to think a shotgun was
suitable, but they're fairly unwieldy indoors and frippin' loud, loud
enough to cause permanent hearing damage. Nowadays, I use a CZ 9mm
pistol with a suppressor attached. The suppressor and subsonic ammo keep
the sound below the level of hearing destruction.

Also, I thought our little illegal alien gunmonkey was married and
stopped dating pigs. Guess I was wrong.

Shoot that "Honor Student" and not wake up Karen. How considerate ;-)

9mm ain’t a stopper.

If you are willing to pay a buck, buck and a half a round, 9mm is
pretty capable these days. If you are still loading 115gr FMJ
hardball, not so much.

What ammo is not going to be deadly through 2 sheets of drywall, At
indoor ranges where the pattern is about the size of a coffee cup? I
wouldn't want to be on the other side of the wall if it was a 2.5dr
equivalent load of #9s. That is a light skeet load.

A skeet gun typically patterns 30" at 21 yards and that is about as
open a choke as you get. It just cuddles the shot a little going out
the barrel but it is basically cylinder bore.

I find it hard to improve on John Browning's design in my 97
Winchester riot gun. That thing will feed soggy paper shells.
