Are you familiar with Beckett's Waiting for Godot? Characters spend the entire play waiting for and talking about Godot, who never shows. F*O*A*D referred to "Beckett's Waiting for Godot" a few tears ago! What's a FOAD? Beckett was one of the most famous playwrights, poets, and novelists of the 20th Century, and a Nobel Laureate. Godot is on many lists as the best or one of the best plays written in the 20th Century. Both the author and the play are well-known to high school students, college students and people who like theater. |
