Maybe we will be outsourcing our little wars some day. Three dozen modern jets could devastate most smaller 3d world countries. Imagine what a few dozen "obsolete" F-100s and B-47s could have done at the Bay of Pigs and the US could have plausible deniability. |

Even the f86 would be vile with modern armaments and electronics. Interesting you mentioned the f100. I think it was introduced about the same time as the f4. Which made the 100 obsolete if I recall. Shame. They were all nasty in their day |
