Using Feb 18 (75198 confirmed) as the origin, and March 19 (233752 confirmed) as the last point on the graph, and assuming the curve is roughly quadratic, I get the equation of the curve to be f(x)=176x**2 +75198. That would mean that in 30 more days our confirmed cases would be roughly 708,798. I hope my math is bad. -- Freedom Isn't Free! |

You're thinking of the form y=ax**2+bx+c, in this case b=0, and c=75,198. In my case the vertex was at the point 0,75198. So the 'b' term is 0. Written out completely, the equation would be: f(x)=176x**2+0x +75198. That probably looks more familiar. -- Freedom Isn't Free! |
