Just read a notice from the school department in the town we live in.

Seems the school sponsored 21 kids from grades 4-7 to attend
the Utah Jazz vs Celtics basketball game last Friday night
at the Boston Garden.

The kids also met the players and participated in pre-game
events.

Since then, one of the Jazz players was confirmed to have the
coronavirus.Â* It was confirmed yesterday.

So now, all those kids who came close to the Jazz player are going
into a 14 day quarantine period.Â* The school and all the buses are
going to
be "deep" cleaned and sanitized.

The risk of going to a place with large crowds was well known last
week.Â* The stupidity rests in the school system administration.

Meanwhile, all professional basketball games nation-wide have been
cancelled for the remainder of the season.

Public schools in Maryland will be closed for two weeks.

Our area of MA has so far escaped anybody becoming infected
(that anyone knows of) but I suspect that won't last long.

BTW ... I should have added the parents of the 21 kids to the stupid list.

I was talking to my wife this morning and we were reminiscing of our
younger days when I first met her family. I suppose trying to impress,
I often sat with her Italian father drinking shots of Anisette. He
also put it in his coffee but had a "chaser" in a shot glass.

So today, I went to a liquor store and bought a bottle of Anisette and a
couple of shot glasses. I figure if I am going down, I am going to do
it with a smile on my face.

Oh ... the liquor store was packed with people as are all the local
supermarkets. I was about 12th in line at the liquor store and noticed
that everyone was keeping at least 6-7 feet from the person in front of
them.

We have a few cases here and people are still out and about. The roads
are still jammed. I do notice the hand sanitizer is being slathered
on.

Toilet paper is leaving all the shelves here, even at Costco. Luckily my wife
has a penchant for keeping about 50 rolls on hand at all times!

Freedom Isn't Free!

Luckily we got Costco TP before the run(s). Just because we were down to
a couple rolls.

Same here.

Talking to Asian friends today. She said some of them are using the TP to
beef up the masks.

You SW Floridians know about toilet paper?

Just the snow birds. The rest of us use the New York Times.
