I guess this was the German answer to the “PT-boats”. Bigger than the PT but Smaller and much faster than a US destroyer. Interesting...

There is at least one History Channel type show about these but I
haven't seen it in my last trip down WWII memory lane. Maybe a search
on Amazon/Netflix.

Yes, I've seen the story of these somewhere, but I can't remember where. And it was a long time ago.

Could be.


The "History Channel" has now branched out into several channels with
the original running reality shows about pawn shops and such but I
don't get any of them these days. Any series worth a damn does seem to
pop up on a streaming channel tho. I suspect World at War will be on
one of them again soon. They do seem to come and go as the license
expires.
