I agree with the decision but the ****'s gonna hit the fan.

The left is sure to bitch about restricting First Amendment rights.

Actually companies fire people all the time for things they do off the
clock.

Actually, the NFL owners lost their balls in giving in to the criminal
occupying the White House. Perhaps the players will remain in the locker
room until after the national anthem is badly sung.

So, you are saying that it's Trump's fault that paid athletes
are required to show respect to the flag and national anthem?

Why would I ever expect a different response from you? :-)

Perhaps you could explain how showing disrespect for the American flag should improve the harmony
between the races in this country.

The first amendment protects people from the government restricting
free speech. It has nothing to do with what a private enterprise can
do.
Go tell your boss he is an asshole and see how long you work there.

The NFL owners showed their lack of balls by caving into a mob boss POTUS.

All workers, including football players, have rights protected by the
National Labor Relations Act of 1935. The law protects the rights of
workers to engage in "concerted activity for mutual aid and protection,"
whether in the workplace or not.

Take note of the fact the NFL did not say players had to stand for the
pledge or anthem, and that they could remain in the lockers rooms. The
NFL cannot impose such a regulation with it being bargained collectively.

It's too bad that this is a country under Trump where false patriotism
has to be imposed, and that it is not a country where true patriotism is
exhibited because people desire to do so. The "kneel" protest was never
about patriotism in any case, but about police brutality aimed at
minorities.

What's going on with the NFL is very much reminiscent of what the German
and Soviet dictatorships did to enforce false patriotism. What's next
for Trump, imposition of Christianity as a national religion, with
crowds being forced to bow to a false god?

Amazing how your prejudiced mind works.

The NFL did not "cave" to Trump.

They caved to the millions of NFL fans across the country who were
disgusted with the antics of highly paid athletes and boycotted
watching or attending NFL games. It was a financial decision, not
pressure from Trump. He agreed with the fans, made it known but
has no control over what the NFL or the team owners do.
