Luck lives at the intersection of preparation and opportunity. There
are people who walk right by without recognizing it, and others who
will not take the risk of picking it up and running with it.

Luck is good, but best of all is to be good and lucky. :-)

Crikey...aphorisms ripped from Forbes, right here in .wrecked.bloats.

Sorry but I claim original authorship. Let me know if you find it
somewhere else and I'll get Trump's lawyer to sue them.

Your aphorism about preparation and opportunity has been around in the
same and similar form for about 2000 years.

Did Jesus bring that thought to earth?

You mean, Jesus was born off planet? I thought that whole story was
something a single young girl who got pregnant made up to avoid
embarrassment.

Is not refer to Jesus as off earth. Just the thought. Maybe the thought
was just in the air.

You inspired me to Google it up and I'm forced to concede that you are
at least partially correct. The Roman philosopher Seneca is alleged
to have said that "Luck is what happens when preparation meets
opportunity." Since I've never read Seneca in any form that I know
of, and since his wording is somewhat different, I still claim
original authorship even if the sentiment is the same. Smart guy that
Seneca, and I'm proud to share similar thoughts with him. :-)

Regarding my second assertion that there
are people who walk right by opportunity without recognizing it, and
others who will not take the risk of picking up opportunity and
running with it, I find no Google hits at all.

Therefore your claim that I plagiarized Forbe's seems to be totally
without merit and may rise to the level of defamation of character. Of
course we've come to expect nothing less from you.
