Europe, we, too, would have been at least partially occupied by Germany
for some time.

WWII has been over for more than 70 years. Most Norwegians who remember
the German occupation are likely pushing up daisies or tulips, as are
all the Southerners in this country who remember the Civil War.

The point is, Norway and Norwegians are doing quite well and have less
worries about their jobs, their health, the ability to educate their
kids, and their retirements than Americans.

Perhaps a more realistic solution is to improve the quality of life for
all people here with better jobs, better income security, better health
care, and better retirement, and not worry so much about how well the
really wealthy are doing.
