It reminds me that we really need to get back to Maine one of these days. There's nothing like it in the summer, at least not in the US. This year we're planning a little mid-summer hiatus to Denmark, Scotland, Iceland, Greenland and Nova Scotia - on Royal Caribbean. The plan is to leave our boat somewhere in the Boston area while we do all that, assuming we can find a suitable marina with good security and easy access to Logan International. As you know the transient slip availability is limited up here and it's pricey. I'd start looking early. Too bad I sold the 55' slip we had on the upper Cape. Not exactly close to Boston but there is rail and buses that run regularly. === We have sometimes left the boat at Pope's Island Marina in New Bedford and rented a car if we had a commitment somewhere inland. I'm wondering how that would compare to an Uber ride. --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. http://www.avg.com |

Feel badly because I probably should offer to drive you to Logan and pick you up when you return but the truth is I haven't driven into Boston or Logan for years and have no plans to do so. Mrs.E occasionally flies (I don't) and when she has to get to the airport we hire a limo service that we have used for years .... going back to when I had the business and traveled often. The owner of the limo service is a hot **** and he still gives us his "corporate" rate. |
