Default Bridge collapse in Miami

Terrible ... whatever the cause is.

Just heard that it was designed to withstand a Cat 5 hurricane and last
for at least 100 years. It was pre-stressed to handle enormous loads.

It lasted one day. Engineering screw up? Construction screw up?

7 people are dead ... more injured.

....
And it’s claim is to be a “feat of engineering?”

My wife's bet is they guess wrong about how cold it is here and they

Could very well be. It’d be interesting to see what the cement tests out to be...

One news report I heard was that they were doing stress tests on it.
Kinda dumb with heavy traffic driving under it.

I didn't hear about any equipment on the bridge.* I saw that they were
built off-site and set into place in sections.

The news report said they were doing stress tests *after* it was put in
place. But, you know how the news is. Everyone's trying to get an
"exclusive" and half the time the news is dead wrong.

Thank you, Donald.

Gee. As the "Dear Gabby" of rec.boats I am surprised you haven't
blabbed the latest changes in the Trump administration.

Donald Jr. and his wife Vanessa have announced they are divorcing after
12 years.

Which greaseball kid is Donald, Jr.? The blond or the brunette?
