It is like blaming Ryder rental trucks for the bombing of the WTC in 93 and the Murrah building. It is absolutely moronic to equate deaths from accidental car wrecks with the mass murders taking place in schools. That can't be part of Loonytarian Think, is it? It is not that off base when you look at the current thinking about drunk drivers. Their wrecks are not "accidents" they are crimes and the assumption is that the vehicle is a deadly weapon. There are far more drunks than there are mass shooters and they kill many more people. We still have not banned alcohol or demanded universal breatholizers on car ignitions. It is clear that this would save lives, people are just not willing to be that inconvenienced simply because thousands of people are killed. |
