Nope.Â* This one is squarely on the Democrats and in particular their
Senate leader Schumer.Â* You can try to spin it all you want but even the
NYTimes has stated that the Democrats blocked passage of the budget.
....

“Make it hurt...”

Twice in the last two weeks, Trump, the guy you support, reached an
agreement with the Dems on DACA and, I think, CHIP, and then he reneged
on them. Schumer increased the pot by offering financing for Trump's
Folly border war and more for the military. Even the Republican U.S.
Senate Majority Leader says he doesn't know what it is Trump wants to
make a deal and stick to it.

Your boy Trump is incompetent.

What budget bill did Trump veto?

Leaked reports of today's last minute Trump/Schumer meeting indicate

Basically he want's a "parity" budget, addressing all kinds of
budget issues that haven't even been discussed or negotiated yet.

In the history of the United States, there has never been a
government shutdown because of funding while the same party is in
control of the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.

If you are looking for someone to blame, blame Trump and his
incompetency.

You've really swallowed the Trump pill. Once again, your party controls
the White House, the House, and the Senate. It would have been a
no-brainer for them to get behind and pass DACA that TRUMP alone killed
last September, and to extend CHIP. Schumer offered funding for the wall
and more bucks for the military, but Trump turned him down.

The Dems do not trust Trump to negotiate in good faith and work hard to
make his word mean something with his party in Congress. Why should the
Dems trust Trump to deliver DACA or CHIP? Answer? No reason at all.

It's the Trump Shutdown. Spin as you may.

DACA has nothing to do with passing a budget. DACA is a separate,
legislative issue.

60 votes Harry. 60 votes in the Senate.

Got a kick that the newly hatched Democratic Senator from Alabama, Doug
Jones, voted *for* moving forward on the budget bill vote. One of 6
Dems, if I counted correctly. Probably means Jones hasn't been there
long enough to become programmed by the likes of Schumer.

I never said Trump used his veto. I said he backed out of a negotiated
agreement - twice -. Trump cannot be trusted in dealings with Congress.

D'uh. You are smarter than your posts. Oh, Jones...he voted for a
temporary, short-term extension of CHIP funds which were bundled in the
Senate bill. That is all. Alabama is out of CHIP money.

The Repugnants have the majority in the Senate. They control it.

Well, then, if you have control of the Senate (a simple majority is all
it takes) and you need 60 votes for passage of certain bills and such, I
guess you have to reach compromises with the other side, especially when
your party controls the other house of congress and the white house. I
wonder if anyone bothered to explain that to ******** Donald.
