She was being questioned about Trump's "********" comments and merit
based immigration policy proposal. The Democrats on the committee were
out for blood. Leahy put on a line of questioning which ended with a
long, dramatic pause after which he said, "Norway is predominately
white, isn't it?" He was implying that Trump is racist. Her response
was to deflect any accusation of the kind by saying, "No sir, I wasn't
aware of that". She was being facetious, and was attempting to get
across the message that race played no part in a merit based immigration
system. She must have said that 10 times during her testimony.

But progressives will try to make a story out of anything.

It's hardly worth the effort to point out the many ways Trump and his
enablers are racists and white nationalists. There's no need to "imply"
Trump is a racist...more and more people are simply coming out and
saying it: Trump is a racist.
