When?
Will a man come forward and say a powerful woman said or did something
that "made him feel uncomfortable". That seems to be the bar now. As a guy who spent the best part of the first year of IBM working in the female world of the keypunch room, I can say they do have a way of making you feel uncomfortable and that is usually intentional. I didn't take it seriously and when they figured out they were not getting a rise out of me it got a lot better but I wasn't a snow flake either. |

Viagra might help. -- x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

I was thinking of calling the Washington Post yesterday after some female was rubbing my leg. And I don't mean a casual 'walk-by', but real rubbing! This was blatant as hell! But then I thought maybe physical therapists had a dispensation from the Pope or something which allowed them to take such advances. There is a massage chain under investigation as we speak. |

I doubt that was the "rise" they were looking for. They were just trying to embarrass the new guy saying the most outrageous stuff you can imagine. If I used the standards we are using now, I could have a case that they were creating a hostile work environment. Fortunately I had a good sense of humor about it. It helped a lot that I could actually fix keypunches. |
