He checked in just after Irma left his area. No serious damage to his
place but no power. Was running on a generator.

Yes, that was the last I heard also. There have been some reports on
television of flooding near his area caused by drainage issues. Don't
know if he's impacted or not. His creek/river is basically tidal so
normally drainage would not be an issue. Maybe he doesn't have an
alternative internet connection.

We lost power again about 8PM, huge bang, apparently a feeder cable or
transformer shorting out, and then the neighborhood went dark again.
The diesel gen on the boat is getting a real workout.

Half of my neighborhood is still out as of yesterday. Some with
RVs have them backed into their driveways feeding power to their
houses. I imagine they are sleeping in their coaches.

into an open admission community college and had to join the armed
