Sadly, Guthrie was dead before I came to appreciate him and folk music.
I did see Seeger and Baez and Dylan and many others at a couple of
Newport Folk Festivals, and I also saw at other concerts the Dillards;
Bill Monroe, the "father" of bluegrass, and Flatt & Scruggs, among others.

The mommies wouldn't have to warn the kiddies....I'm sure just the sight of The John would be enough to scare the kiddies out of a few nights sleep.

Odd speculation. Harry. I was sitting right next "that evil old right wing white guy" as you would say, and young families with little kids were walking right around us and through our isle.

Honestly, I really do believe you give yourself far too much credit for your fantasies, and skepticism.
