Better get on it!

If it was between a weekend there and getting a root canal......I'd tell my dentist to 'bring it on'!

These festivals partially exist to provide a venue for old white farts
with camper trailers to have a destination. Gettysburg is an ok place to
visit once for a day in the spring or fall.

The biggest portion of the crowds are those who drive in for the day and park in the lots. But, us old folks, both black and white, do enjoy the music and people. You've obviously never been to a Bluegrass festival and are, as usual, talking through your ass. Most likely you've got Donnie hanging on every word though. Donnie's probably never been to one of the better Bluegrass festivals around...right there in Nova Scotia.

Harry just has a problem with any American art form. He thinks
pretending to embrace european classics will give him the illusion of
class.
The true measure of a well rounded existence is the appreciation of
all kinds of music. I might not be up to camping but I will go watch
some good bluegrass now and then. They do a little festival up at the
park near me and we can go by boat ... perfect.

And once again you project your ignorance onto me. You haven’t a clue
about the majority of movies in my collection or in the music I like. As a
point of fact, I was a minor fan of some bluegrass in its non-electrified
heyday. When I lived in West Virginia I was a member of an amateur folk and
blugrass group. You really are a terrible analyst.

Harry, you must either be lying with your negative comments or lying with this comment. Or both.

Perhaps it is just that you are a terrible writer because your
scribbles here are all I have to base my opinion on. You have shown
nothing but disdain for bluegrass music here.
When you talked about your musical taste you only talked about
listening to the classics on the PBS station. Again, do you understand
this is all archived?

As I said, I "was" a minor fan of some bluegrass in its non-electrified
heyday. In fact, I used to listen to it in the afternoons on a local
public radio station here, but the station played mostly "old" bluegrass
or performances by more contemporary artists who were true to the old
roots. And the fact that I listen to "classical music" on two semi-local
stations does not mean that I like only "classical music." I also like
folk music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's; classic musicals; some jazz,
and Latin music.

Once again, you excel at drawing erroneous conclusions from incomplete
information. Perhaps that is a side effect of your libertarianism, eh?
