Six in nine days at the same location!

The damn things are becoming worse than the squirrel population around here.

Get a good cat. To them chipmunks are just a mouse with racing
stripes. Of course your bird population will suffer a bit also.

Snakes are a better option.

I haven't seen a chipmuck in years here where I live. They used to be all over the place.

I wouldn't have a free range cat, although it would probably help.

Now, a couple of free range black snakes would be welcome. But then I'd have to figure out a way to
keep the dogs from attacking them.

Wonder what changed. Just walking around the cul-de-sac the other day I spotted four or five. Seems
like almost every house had a chipmunk running in the flower bed. I'm thinking of trying some of
this: Well, never mind. They were arsenic pellets, but Amazon has apparently removed them from my
wish list and no longer carries them. Oh well, I was worried the dogs would eat them anyway.

We had a gazillion chipmunks around the yard of the house we sold last
year. When we had the Sprinter camper there, parked beside the house,
some chipmunks moved in and created a nest in the compartment behind the
television. They stored a bunch of big, red seeds from a nearby
Japanese Maple tree in the compartment which began to stain the wall
upholstery below the compartment. They also chewed through all the
audio and video cables for the TV, completely destroying them. It took
several shampoo cleaning and rinsing of the wall to get rid of the
stains. Fortunately they all came out but I had to completely re-wire
the TV. They are cute but a royal pain in the ass.

Shoot 'em. Shoot 'em all. Napalm their homes, flood their tunnels, Agent
Orange their habitat. After all, they're part of that dangerous crowd of
marauding mexican chipmunks. Kill all the birds, too, and the squirrels
and any wandering foxes. Dig up the group and get thos nasty earthworms.
Cut down your trees and pave over the grass. That'll teach those nasty
critters. :(

They are fast and will bite if cornered. They aren't poisonous
but would you want to be bitten by something whose main diet is
lizzards moles mice and other snakes?

I'm not worried about me getting bit, I'd be worried about the dogs killing the snake.
