I agree you are right about military waste but this is a worse
disgrace. Manning is a convicted traitor and he should have been shot.
We should not be spending $50,000 to fulfill his sexual fantasy.

Donald Trump gives aid and comfort and encouragement to the enemy, Russia.

Uh huh. The quote was from Eisenhower, a well-known socialist. Your
comment was that Ike said that in peacetime. You were, as usual, wrong.

Two months out. The US. And allies were already evacuating.

That was not responsive to the post and it is yet to be seen how
Tillerson treats the russians. If they get anything from Trump, they
will have to pay for it, just like everyone else. The only question is
whether it is a price they will pay

Actually it was right at the end of the ill thought out Truman war and
they were in final negotiations to end it. I do understand Eisenhower
was against an ever expanding military budget although he still went
along with it. It is a pattern that has continued right up until today
and I see no end in sight with Trump.

was right:

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired
signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not
fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not
spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the
genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one
modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30
cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000
population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty
miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a
half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new
homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people. This is, I repeat,
the best way of life to be found on the road the world has been taking.
This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of
threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron. Is there
no other way the world may live?

–Dwight David Eisenhower, “The Chance for Peace,” speech given to the
American Society of Newspaper Editors, Apr. 16, 1953.
.....

Easy to say that in peacetime. Of course he didnt say that in 1941

Blah, blah, blah. Typical progressive liberal ranting with no sense of
reality.

"Righties" typically are big fans of freedom and security. There is an
oath every president, vice president, members of Congress and members of
the military take that underscores that belief. Rather meaningless to
you because you never took that oath, assuming you would honor it if you
had.

On another subject:

Got a kick out of the lefty demonstrator/protester/whatever female
comedian (Chelsea Handler) who was so critical of Melania Trump "barely
speaking English". Brought to mind your comments about Melania and how
you felt her mastery of English and accent didn't measure up to *your*
standards. Are you pals with Handler?

Modern-day "Righties" are in favor of unlimited freedom for themselves
and restrictions on everyone else.

As for Mrs. Trump, I actually feel sorry for her, considering who she
has to put up with, but, hey, it seems as if the Trumps are maintaining
separate residences.

He probably walked across the bridge to Arlington and ****ed on the
graves of the people who died for his freedom.

I have nothing but respect for those in our military who, along
with my
uncle, died for our freedoms in World War II.

Cute. So you only have respect for those who served but didn't come
home
alive. Doesn't make any sense Harry. To die in military service,
one
has to be alive in military service first.

The reference was to Arlington Cemetery and "...the graves of those
who
died."
Didn't the good teachers at Amity Regional teach you how to read?

Sure did but they didn't have a course in Harry Krause interpretations.

Immediately above my post was the reference to Arlington.

So what?

My response was predicated, as I explained, on the reference to
Arlington. Sheesh.
