But I have my own copy of the OED and have had it for 20+ years, at least. I gave my OED to the kids but since none of us were alive in the 14th century go ahead and admit you were just trying to insult the people who served their country and move on. It is best that you did hide in college until they forgot about you because we had no need for an effeminate elitist like you defending our country. They would have cashiered you out with a GD pretty quickly anyway. It was how they dealt with useless people in the late 60s and early 70s. You gave a 20-volume set of the OED to your kids, eh? I sort of inherited mine, and also have the 20 volumes on a DVD set of two discs. Your claim that I was trying to insult anyone by use of the word "navee" is just more of your badly educated nonsense. The rest of your post is just your usual anti-intellectual nonsense. Harry, being the literary genius that you are, I am sure you realize that there are many words and versions thereof in the English language that have died in terms of common usage. They only remain in a historical context. The fact that you like to show off using "dead" words doesn't make them correct usage. Who decides "correct" usage? You? ![]() There are plenty of us who will not descend into your president-elect's world of twitter-talk. I think you would be great tweeting, on a par with the Donald anyway. Your mutual goal is to insult as many people as possible in 140 words or less. Twitter is 140 characters, not 140 words, Mr. Facebook guru. |

I believe it. |
